The Valencian Community begins to see the light at the end of the tunnel after the third wave of the coronavirus and will face the de-escalation plan from 1st March.
This has been announced by the president of the Generalitat, Ximo Puig, who has appeared to report on the relaxation of restrictions in the provinces of Alicante, Valencia and Castellón.
The announcement comes after the interdepartmental meeting of the Generalitat Valenciana to analyse the measures against the covid-19 pandemic.
Among the main measures, those related to the hotel trade stand out, since bars and restaurants may open their terraces, as well as a maximum of four people in meetings in public spaces.
Below we summarize the flexibilities announced by Ximo Puig:
Increase the maximum number of people who can meet in public spaces to four.
House meetings remain unchanged.
Opening of the hotel business terraces in Alicante, Valencia and Castellón until 6 pm and always with a mask except at the time of consumption.
Extension of the hours in non-essential shops until 8:00 p.m. and with a capacity of 50%.
Cessation of the perimeter fence weekend in major cities of Valencia. Therefore, the perimeter of Alicante, Elche, València, Castellón de la Plana, Torrevieja, Torrent, Orihuela, Gandía, Paterna, Benidorm, Sagunt, Alcoy, San Vicente del Raspeig, Elda-Petrer and Vila-real will no longer be valid.
Opening of parks and gardens. Places of worship increase capacity up to 50%
Open- air sports facilities : individual activities allowed; in a couple without contact; and in groups of maximum 4 people per monitor. The trainings are authorised without public and the pavilions, gyms and closed courts remain closed.
The rest of the measures in the Valencian Community will continue in force. Among them, it is worth highlighting the perimeter closure of the Valencian Community and the curfew from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. the next day.
The new measures announced by Ximo Puig this Thursday will be applied as of Monday, 1st March from 00:00 hours.
